Septa

 
  • The septa is primarily used to isolate the sample flow path from the outside, maintain the internal pressure of the system, prevent sample leakage, and avoid contamination of the system from external air infiltration.
  • The septa is typically made of silicone rubber with good heat-resistanance and airtightness. It can withstand a certain temperature without degrading and can endure multiple punctures by the syringe without leaking.
  • Generally, septas are classified into general-purpose, low-bleeding, long-life and BTO type.
